I was in New York for a choir trip in high school. We went to a Yankee's game and I tried to Walk in the mens bathroom not once but twice! thankfully my boyfriend {now husband} saved me from embarrassment. But it was pretty embarrassing at the time even though I didn't really walk in.

My most embarrassing moment....hmmmm.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in High school my small group choir was singing Christmas carols at a local restaurant. I was under the impression we were starting "Joy to the World" I started the song, just as some poor sap turned around in his chair and faced me. He got a full blast of high soprano "JOY!" right in his face...I was the only one who had started singing.
Nearly a decade later, some of my old choir friends still remind me of that.

ReplyDeleteMost recently, which my friends will not let me live down, we moved to Minneapolis (my hometown). I'm outside playing with my dog in the yard when a younger neighbor woman is walking by and stops to meet me (since we were new and all) and I see that her dog has a UW Madison collar on, on I excitedly proclaim "Oh My Gosh, I grew up in Minneapolis and so many of my friends went to Madison, its such a great midwestern school, isn't it?" and the neighbor just looked at me so blankly, yet with this "are you a total moron" stare. I forgot I was no longer living in Florida, and was in fact IN Minneapolis. Try explaining that... didn't go so well, I'm pretty sure she never walked by the house again, thank God we moved again!

ReplyDeletei hate this question (thankfully, i've never really had an embarrassing moment but when this question is asked, i have a hard time thinking of an answer) but since i am desperately trying to win, i will answer truthfully and willingly...in 6th grade, i played on the volleyball team and at our first game i was still a bit unsure of all the rules and when our team was scored on, i jumped up and down and cheered because i thought our team had gotten a point...everyone in the gym looked at me and i can't even imagine what my coach was thinking! ha!

ReplyDeleteSoooo...embarrassing moment. Junior year, week of finals, the class was goofing around in English class. The big class clown was giving me a hard time, so the teacher told me to hit him. I proceeded to do what the teacher said and the guy hits me back. I flew through the air, matrix style, and the pocket of my jeans caught the edge of the chalkboard tray. Ripped the back of my pants right off. Everyone could see my pale pink panties. (At least I wasn't wearing a thong!) Got a lot of dates after that. I kid!

ReplyDeletesince you dont have a clue who i am i will say it... i was at my grandpa's funeral about 5 yrs ago and when i stood up my skirt got caught on the chair... it fell all the way down. to this day no one said anything to me but i KNOW people saw my white cheeks!

ReplyDeleteMy most embarrassing moment of my "adult life" was when I got my wisdom teeth pulled! I was put under and when I woke up told the oral surgeon he was "so cute for an older man!" The most embarrassing part about it, is I eventually did have to go back for a follow up appointment!! My mom jokes that I am very complimentary when I get put under anesthesia and that day proved it to be true!
