There was a buzz of criticism
regarding the April issue of
People sighed that it wasn't original,
they were bored...
blah blah blah.
Say what you want about that issue
(though I think you should say it kindly),
Rue did something incredible when they made this video.
Featuring the new line of bedding by Kate Spade,
this video is so totally adorable,
and completely agrees with my thought
that videos and blogs are a lovely combination.
(First seen at One Sydney Road...)

ReplyDeleteThis is adorable- it just put me in the best mood! Since our air conditioner broke last night & our bed was not so comfy, these bright beds look heavenly right about now!
ReplyDeleteMy bed is in need of a serious sprucing!
ReplyDeleteI never clicked on the video! This is so creative and cute!
ReplyDeleteThis made my day :)

ReplyDeleteHey, I mentioned you on my blog today. Thank you!
I loved the video! Super cute! J'adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd, while understanding that the following statement is inherently contradictory, I find myself rather worn out by everyone feeling the need to express their dissenting opinions these days. If you don't like something and want to see effective change then just tell the people (directly) who need to hear it. (And, agreed, Lauren, you should say it kindly.)
And/Or, perhaps critics might try besting the ones they're criticizing. They'll either find out how truly lazy/uninspired they are or how presumptuous their initial opinion was. Knowledge is more powerful than opinion.
Adorable and fun and very creative! I totally agree with Uncle Beefy above - and it amazes me how many people decide to leave negative comments under "Anonymous"... if they feel that strongly about their opinion, they should be able to print their name.

I think the team at Rue is doing an amazing job...and yes, that video is A-DOR-ABLE!!!!

ReplyDeleteHappy mid week my friend!
So often the blogosphere is a wonderful place that allows people to connect. Less often, but still there, it is a negative place to trash on people. I thought Rue was lovely - and while they were graceful in accepting the feedback, I am disappointed in bloggers who attack others' pursuits. What is it that makes them so great? If I don't like a post, I just skip it. No skin off my nose. Thanks for pointing out the positive in the issue :)
ReplyDeleteYou're so right, this video is adorable! I love the part with the peanut butter toast & jam!

Hello hello!
ReplyDeleteI am new here and I am very comfortable! In fact I spend many happy posts and a big cup of tea here, became an almost instant follower and put you firmly on my blog roll a few clicks into your lovely corner of the cyber world.
From your 'one way ticket' guest post(over at Hi Sugarplum) to the Stratford Upon Avon feature and the above video from Rue - I was smiling the whole way through.
You are right about Rue. They are doing a great job - one that many bloggers just dream about. Creating a magazine is hard, growing it is harder, and with only a few issues under their belt I think they are doing a brilliant job!
Happy happy here.
