On Friday,
there was a small table
of really nice people
having a great time
over some awesome soufflés
at Dallas' beloved
It was such a great time,
and- as admittedly awkward as those parties can be at the beginning-
turned out to be a FUN evening.
It's always so refreshing (and dare I say, "flattering?")
to meet people who read my blog.
The internet can be a tricky place
with false identities (ahem, Aspiring Kennedy?)
and tiny little profile pics...
You can never be too sure about who you're meeting out there.
So to show up and meet completely awesome/normal people
really floored me.
I can't believe that such cool people
take the time to read my blog.
I'm not even sure my own mom reads it.
Ok, I'm drifting...
All that to say,
I was on a high from getting to hang out
with so many sweet ladies.
Thanks for coming out-
blogger meet-ups wouldn't be nearly as fun
if no one was there to actually meet up!
And now,
some pictures
to prove that it actually happened.

This meetup was so great, thanks so much for organizing Lauren! There are some pretty rad ladies in Dallas (if I do say so myself)!
ReplyDeleteI tend to think nice, happy blogs attract the same type of reader - so it makes sense the meet-up was so fun. My almost 15 yr old daughter loves the pics of Viola on your blog. Table dancing - too cute!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! And the food..OMG.. Wish I was there with you!
ReplyDeletewhatever. jealous.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like so much fun and the food looks incredible! I've had the chance to meet up with some fellow bloggers in real life too, and it's funny because when you tell people who don't blog what you're doing they think it's kind of strange...but it's totally awesome! I think that there is just a similar personality trait that bloggers share that makes the really open people, and getting to meet in person just reaffirms that! xoxo
ReplyDeletelooks like a blast! and that soufle?! i die.
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you got to meet some of your groupies...just jealous that this groupie couldn't come :( Dallas has the coolest restaurants! This place looks divine!
ReplyDeleteThis looks SO much fun! And so delicious. Souffle? YES PLEASE! xx
ReplyDeleteCould you please come and organise one of these in Cape Town?! Looks fab x
ReplyDeleteThis looks like an amazing dinner! I will definitely put Rise on the top of my list when making a trip to Dallas!
ReplyDeleteThis place looks AMAZING!! We clearly need one in Houston. Or I need to visit Dallas more often!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love that there is a restaurant dedicated to souffles - seems like such fun! Glad you ladies had such a great time - and look at Viola, always the life of the party :)
ReplyDeleteThis was so fun! Thanks so much for organizing and it was so nice to meet you in real life!! This was my first blogger meet up ever and it did not disappoint--great food, great people, great time all around!!

ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun, thanks for sharing it with all of us who wish we could have been there!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a blog, but I check yours daily. :) Love your blog (and your travels, too!) Rise is fantastic...I'm sad that I was out of town and missed the fun, especially since it was open to non-bloggers!
