Monday Moods: I feel... childish.

Drinking a "racer" from a bottle & straw
at brunch at The Riding House Cafe...

Desperately wanting to be a ballerina
after seeing the (incredible!) Degas exhibit...

Seriously asking my husband for permission
to buy the coloring book as a souvenir...

Opting to ride on the top of a double decker-bus,
even when the lower level was empty...

Going crazy over the sparkling windows & lights
debuting their Christmas wares....

It's days like yesterday that make me ask:

How can I have kid (someday)
when I still (so often) feel like one myself?

After walking by Christian Louboutin off Knightsbridge,
it seemed they were leaning towards the juvenile, too...

  1. ALWAYS choose the top deck :) I wish I was in London just now - here in Brussels they're much slower with the decorations and there are hardly any of those magical, historical stores.

As for the kids question: I imagine it's far more fun to be a child with parents who genuinely enjoy kid stuff sometimes.

  3. I second the idea that kids will appreciate parents who also enjoy "kid" things. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to be a grown up :)

  6. Well, London is your candy store so I can see why it brings out the carefree child in you. And triple hooray for the Degas exhibit. I love that man!

  7. I love the riding house cafe! Did you see the squirrels on the walls?
And the top deck is always so much better, no armpits in faces up there!

  8. That racer, whatever that is, looks delicious! Lucky! Degas!! ahhhh. love. While I was in college in Cali. I had to make many a trips to Pasadena to visit the Norton Simon Musem. They have the most degas I've ever seen in one place. Pure magic!! Glad you enjoyed the exhibit.

  10. I love the ballet. I always leave the ballet wishing I was a ballerina!

P.S. Having a kid is awesome because it gives you an excuse to do all kinds of kid stuff again. Just keep that in mind! : )

  12. I think that's what makes a good parent, someone who still knows how to be a kid themselves. I think, far too often, people forget what it was like to be a kid before they have kids, and then you can't relate with your children, and that makes for a harder relationship, which is harder on everyone involved. This got a little long winded. :) But, I'm a mom, and, from what I've read on your blog, you would make a good one! Don't doubt yourself because of silly things or what the 'idea' of a mother is supposed to be. So long as you love them, your kids will be great!! :)

  15. Aww I miss Christmas in London. I loved the strings of lights hung over the road on Carnaby St. - I looked up and twirled around like I was 7 :)
