An Aspiring Kennedy's Postcard Collection

I don't buy a lot of souvenirs when we travel.

My husband is too cheap to let me shop at will,
and I've gotten tired of lugging it home.

But one thing I always snag
is a kissing picture.

My sisters are so over them,
but I can't help it.

I was inspired by a picture on our honeymoon
and then a few months later,
lucked out with having this moment snapped
on our first trip to Italy
feeding the birds in St. Mark's Square in Venice.

Venice, Italy 2007

Almost six years later,
and it's my favorite picture.

Here are some others that I think are pretty great.

Stonehenge 2011
Gimmelwald, Switzerland 2012
Lanzarote, Canary Islands 2010
Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany 2012
Olympia, Greece 2011

I might have to do another round of these soon.

I have quite the archive of these silly moments.

{It's easy to tell which ones are iPhone & which ones aren't, isn't it?}

  3. So so sweet!

Silly question - but you guys travel with an tripod or to you stop a stranger to take your photo?

    1. Well, I normally try and prop it up somewhere with self-timer... or ask a stranger. The best are self-timers or when my family is there and I don't feel self-conscious to ask them to re-take it, if it's bad. ;)

  9. These are precious! They would make a great wall art collection. And, I second Lauren's question - do you use a timer/tripod, or get friendly people to photograph your macking? ;)

  10. Also, I need to know where you got that headwrap you were wearing in the Stonehenge photo. I look terrible in hats, so I need something else and that fits the bill!

    1. It's from H&M (of course!) and I got it last year. It's a lifesaver for dirty hair. :)

And I typically try to set it up on something with self-timer or ask an unsuspecting by-stander. :) Obviously, Tyler loves it. ha!

  24. Love these photos and that you guys have this tradition! Much better then bought souvenirs. We clearly don't travel as much as you, but try to buy something to bring back for our home from each place we go. Sometimes if its just a US place its a magnet (we're classy that way) but other times its a piece of "art" (not actual fancy art) or a something small for the bookcase.

Of course we go on an international trip like once every two years, so that's a bit different :)

Oh....did I tell you the dates we'll be in London? June 6-13th! I know it's a long way off, but I hope you will be there and that I could see your cute face in person!

    Will email you more separately!
