Paris Style: First Impressions

I'm a sucker for the style
of Parisian women.

I mean, who's not.

Girls love it.
Guys love it.

It's pretty perfect.

I'm a few days in
and already rethinking
my own closet
and trying to put together
some new looks with what I already have...

And then of course,
there's everything I wish I had.

Let's window shop
and put together an ensemble
that could blend us in
to any cafe scene
or seat on the metro.

Because, afterall, in France
it isn't about standing out...
it's about looking effortlessly appropriate.

  2. Have you read the book Paris Street Style by Isabelle Thomas? It's a fun, light read that rounds out my little collection of books on Paris nicely. You look great!

  3. The guy in the background looks like he could be from Minnesota! Is Minnesota-chic the new Parisian-chic? V already has the Minnetonka mocs!

  4. I'm currently reading a book called "Almost French" by Sarah Turnbull it's about an Australian that meets a Frenchman and basically moves in with him after a whirlwind.
Anyway theres a chapter where she goes to run down to the bakers in some tracksuit pants one cold morning and her boyfriend basically says you can't go like that "What about the baker?" Basically she was explaining in France you don't just dress nicely for yourself, but also by looking good you also make others around you feel good. There are expectations. It got me thinking about my easy slouchy clothing and I need to re think the whole thing.
