Monday Moods: I feel... louvrely.

I'm coming home from a weekend in Paris
where the hub has been playing basketball
in the European MBA Olympics.

{Is that hilarious? Yeah, I agree.}

So while he was busy sweating it out
against Cambridge, INSEAD, & London School of Economics...

I got cozy with
Caravaggio, Velazaquez, & Delacroix.

But the most inspiring point of my day?

Walking out of the Louvre
to a scoop of pistachio from an ice cream cart
and a sunny nap in the Tuileries.

  1. Yes! I can just picture you, exciting that glass pyramid. I dream of the day I can return!

    xo Elizabeth

  2. Lauren - I'd play for your team any day! Napping, eating, drinking, shopping in Paris with you would be a treat. We'll miss you in the big apple today.

  3. Sounds perfect. We had the hardest time trying to find our way out of the Louvre... no matter how hard we tried we kept ending up at the mummies... darn jet lag! xo

  4. I need to check out the Louvre better next time I visit, when i first went to Paris I walked it all in 10 minutes, they were closing!
    Who won? x

  5. jealous. im looking at some jobs in oxford. jsyk.

  6. Sounds indeed like a louvrely day!! And I love pistachio ice cream - well I guess most flavors!!

  7. The perfect day! The ice cream sounds delish, too!

  8. Sounds like the perfect day! I can spend years at the Louvre and never see it all I think :) xoxo

  9. Oh my goodness! You have such an amazing life. And you downplay it so humbly. I love that about you. And I wish I was you. So wonderful!

  10. I would love to go back to the Louvre and spend more time. We only had a half a day and really didn't get to see everything!

  11. I am so jealous...the last time we were there (last year) after I dragged my poor family that was practically crawling out of the Louvre after 8 looong hours, I was still going strong and I vowed that I would get back ALONE on my own to pursue it all to my hearts content, I just cant' seem to get enough...and though my family loves and appreciate the art, history and culture they are perfectly content with a 3 hour crash course and calling it a day by hitting the nearest cool restaurant or better yet taking an afternoon Your afternoon sounds like MY perfect afternoon.

  12. Ah, Paris. Love!

PS - I just adore your blog and your humble attitude. Would love for you to stop by my blog sometime:

  13. Aaaahhhh.

thanks for standing in that ridiculous line for me and showing us all the highlights!!

  14. I was at the Louvre last weekend too! Perhaps we passed each other! I'm also in Dallas this weekend...weird! :)
